Western Suburbs Rugby Union Club (WSRUC) is a Townsville based, grassroots, rugby union club that was founded in 2008 by a local police officer with the intention of giving otherwise disadvantaged kids a place to release their energy through sport.

Our club had humble beginnings with only three junior teams better known as the 'Devils'.  In 2015 we re-branded as the 'Dragons' although we were still known as the Western Suburbs Rugby Union Club.

Since our formation we have seen the steady and exponential growth of the number of our registered players. Over time, this growth has enabled us to offer teams ranging from mixed juniors to senior men's and women's.

We continued to grow in 2020 by joining forces with the Ingham Cutters Rugby Union Club. Combined we boast more than 250 registered players in eleven teams ranging from Under 8’s through to 1st Grade.

We are proud of our clubs past and confident for our future. If you would like to join us, or if you have any training, registration, or general enquiries, please contact us via the mobile or email listed below.
